The early signs of pregnancy differ from woman to woman, and often go unnoticed or are attributed to something else. Fatigue, for example, is one of the early signs of pregnancy, but you may write it off as just simply being tired from your usual, busy routine. Closely paying attention to what your body is trying to tell you with these early signs of pregnancy, may prompt you to ask yourself, "Is it time to call my doctor?" If you experience the following early signs of pregnancy, it is indeed time to call your doctor.

As early as the week of conception, you may start to experience nausea and vomiting, also known as "morning sickness." Another early and important sign is that you do not get your monthly menstrual cycle, or your period, when it is expected. Once you miss your period, another one of the early signs of pregnancy is enlarged, tender breasts. Though women often experience tender breasts during their menstrual cycle, it is one of the early signs of pregnancy when a woman experiences tenderness without her period. It is also common during the first stages to experience frequent urination.

Of course, we can't forget your baby, who also experiences much change during the early signs of pregnancy. During this time, your baby is about 2 centimeters long and has a head, mouth and eyes, and the arms and legs are growing quickly. Also during this early stage, your baby will begin develop lungs and the heart will begin to beat.
